Testimonial regarding Stress Management

3rd November 2005

Dear Kevala

Brief Synopsis of my study for Complimentary Health Stress Management

Well I finally achieved my object of gaining a diploma in Stress Management with The Kevala Centre.  It took me quite a long time because I was so busy with setting up a business and moving house (twice) during the training, in this respect being able to study in your own time was very useful.  I am now able to look back objectively about any weaknesses in my own study methods, and if I only pick one recommendation for future students, then it would be to set very definite times to do your study, and where possible keep strictly to these routines, it makes study so much easier!  That is also the Kevala Centre advice but I’m afraid I didn’t always apply it, and that was a mistake!

As for the Stress Management Diploma, I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone.  This subject is appropriate in these days when so many people are suffering from unhealthy stress.  The course is holistic in the best sense, a totally integrated healing system.  This gives you all the competencies necessary to be able to diagnose and differentiate between different types of stress, assist clients to manage and control their own stress levels, and apply a multidisciplinary approach in dealing with the negative physiological and psychological symptoms caused by stress.  The diploma will give you a great deal of knowledge on the subject; we can then condense some of this knowledge into useable forms for our clients to apply in self help.  Non holistic routes by their very nature cannot even come close to what can be achieved in this holistic diploma course.  I am certainly very happy that I studied with the Kevala Centre.  Finally, I must say a big thank you to my tutor Tim Hunt has been very supportive throughout my studies.
